Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Employee Relations
Job Description The Project Administrator will serve as the single point of contact for all Contractor activities supporting Metropolitan Water District's as-needed requests for Skilled Trade supplemental labor.
This role is responsible for coordinating labor deployment for physical trade assignments including construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other related skilled work.
The Project Administrator will manage communication between Metropolitan's Agreement Administrator, internal recruiting teams, and any subcontractors or branch-to-branch personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
" Act as the primary point of contact (Project Administrator) to coordinate and direct contractor staffing efforts for Metropolitan's supplemental skilled labor needs.
" Receive, track, and respond to Metropolitan's requests for skilled trade labor in a timely and professional manner.
" Coordinate recruitment, screening, selection, onboarding, and deployment of supplemental labor workers for trade assignments.
" Manage coordination of subcontractors, sub-consultants, and/or branch-to-branch personnel as needed to fulfill labor requests.
" Ensure all temporary employees assigned to Metropolitan complete Sexual Harassment Prevention Training prior to starting their assignment.
" Provide Metropolitan with required documentation and a Certificate of Completion for Sexual Harassment Prevention Training before workers begin work.
" Maintain compliance with contract requirements, labor laws, and safety standards related to staffing and workforce deployment.
" Monitor workforce performance, attendance, assignment status, and ensure any issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
" Maintain accurate records of staffing requests, worker assignments, onboarding documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting.
" Support Metropolitan's Agreement Administrator with updates, workforce coordination, and resolution of staffing-related concerns.
" Ensure the assigned Project Administrator remains consistent throughout the contract period unless formally approved for replacement by Metropolitan. Skill set info " Strong experience in project coordination, staffing administration, or workforce management (preferably skilled trades/construction environments).
" Proven ability to manage client requests and act as a dedicated point of contact for contract execution.
" Experience coordinating trade labor categories such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, construction labor, mechanical, or similar.
" Strong knowledge of onboarding compliance requirements, training documentation, and workforce readiness processes.
" Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders (client administrators, recruiters, subcontractors, and field personnel).
" Strong communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
" High attention to detail with ability to maintain compliance logs and track training certifications.
" Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ATS/HRIS systems is a plus.
" Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgent staffing requests and changing schedules.
" Ability to travel locally as needed to coordinate workforce operations. Education Educational

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience accepted.
