We're looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager to support a growing non-profit, who's equal parts policy guru, recruiter, leave wrangler, and employee-whisperer. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day HR essentials - benefits, employee relations, onboarding, compliance - while making people feel heard, supported, and just a little bit less confused about open enrollment.
You'll work closely with senior HR leadership and employees across all levels, making sure the people stuff runs smoothly (and legally). If you've ever explained FMLA with a smile, created a spreadsheet that actually makes sense, and gently reminded someone that HR is not IT, we want to talk to you.
This role is hybrid - with up to three days in office. No relocation offered. Must be bilingual Spanish!
Temp to hire position
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and everything in between
- Handle employee relations with tact, empathy, and the occasional deep breath
- Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and Workers' Comp cases
- Keep HR policies updated and employees informed (or at least mildly aware)
- Assist with recruiting and hiring for a variety of roles
- Maintain and report on HR data via Paycom (or your trusty spreadsheet sidekick)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Answer COVID-related questions with professionalism and zero eye-rolls
- Attend meetings, share insights, and occasionally bring snacks
- 3+ years in a senior generalist or multi-hat HR role
- Working knowledge of employment law, benefits, and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Strong communication skills - you speak both "employee" and "executive" fluently
- Problem-solving instincts and a sense of humor
- Bilingual Spanish is a must
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
- A supportive, people-first culture that actually cares about work-life balance
- Room to grow and shape your HR career
- Colleagues who appreciate a good GIF and a well-placed "fun fact" in meetings
- Competitive benefits, meaningful work, and the occasional office treat
Ready to bring your HR expertise to a team that blends structure with heart?
If this sounds like you, please send your resume ASAP. No relocation offered.
