Computer Information Systems Instructor - Cybersecurity Emphasis (MVC)
We are seeking an experienced instructor to teach computer information systems courses with a focus on networking, programming, cybersecurity and cloud computing at Moreno Valley campus.
Responsibilities- Deliver lecture and laboratory instruction in computer information systems, networking, cybersecurity, programming, and cloud computing.
- Conduct classes, including evening, weekend, and online sessions as required.
- Maintain weekly office hours and complete at least 24 "flex credit" hours in professional development activities and seminars.
- Prepare course materials, assess student performance, and participate in outcomes assessment work.
- Engage in curriculum and program development, student learning outcomes assessment, and program review activities.
- Participate in departmental decision‑making and institutional service activities of faculty members.
- Adhere to professional conduct, ethics, and institutional policies.
- Advise student organizations and contribute to co‑curricular activities.
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of successful teaching experience in computer information systems courses.
- Experience in networking, cybersecurity, programming, network security, and cloud computing preferred.
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms (VMware, Virtual Box), Python scripting, and information assurance.
- Experience with AI/ML for incident response or infrastructure deployment is a plus.
- Active certifications such as Security+, Network+, A+, CCNA, CISSP, CEH, CHFI, or Microsoft certifications are preferred.
- Evidence of sensitivity toward the diverse backgrounds of community‑college students.
