Level of Supervision: General Supervision
- Monitor, detect, protect, and maintain the security of data, systems, and networks for the UCR School of Medicine and UCR Health.
- Help maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of institutional information by applying complex and/or moderate-scale security policies and configurations.
- Operate and maintain security-focused information systems, support the security hardening of information systems, and advance enterprise security practices.
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to immediate and potential threats using mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches.
- Conduct endpoint and network digital forensics activities and facilitate automation and orchestration of incident response activities.
- May conduct penetration testing and network scanning activities to report, identify, and track assets and vulnerabilities throughout the systems lifecycle.
- Act as a security systems administrator including planning, configuring, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining tools, systems, and procedures to ensure the integrity, reliability, and security of data, systems, and networks.
- Maintain service standards while working with constituents to resolve issues related to security controls.
The full salary range for the IT Security Engineer is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $115,800 annually. Base salary offers are based on education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Schedule / Work ArrangementHybrid schedule: employees required to be in the office a minimum of three (3) days per week and have the option to work remotely two (2) days per week. Standard schedule is 8AM - 5PM.
