DescriptionThe Network Administrator is a member of the School of Medicine IT team. They are responsible for managing wired and wireless networks, installing and configuring all network equipment, and maintaining expertise with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancing solutions. The incumbent works closely with all teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure implementations and serves as a line of support for the IT SOM team, providing timely troubleshooting and diagnosing incident/problem resolution.
Responsibilities- Manage wired and wireless networks, including installation and configuration of network equipment.
- Maintain high-level expertise in network technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure implementations.
- Provide timely troubleshooting and diagnose incident/problem resolution as a line of support for the IT SOM team.
- Work full-time onsite (8 AM – 5 PM) at the Main Campus – UCR.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. UCR cannot sponsor or take over employment visa sponsorship.
