Salary: $100,000 - $210,000 per year. Up to $210k with bonuses. Hybrid and remote option available. Must be barred and residing in CA.
Attorneys may work hybrid and in-person in the Orange, CA location. For remote consideration, candidates must reside in California and be admitted to and in good standing with the State Bar.

Job Duties:
- Manage full California workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution.
- Appear before the WCAB for MSCs, Status Conferences, Expedited Hearings, and Trials.
- Take and defend depositions of applicants, physicians, and expert witnesses.
- Draft and file Petitions, DORs, Answers, Motions, and Trial Briefs.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery and subpoenas.
- Develop litigation strategy and evaluate exposure.
- Negotiate settlements including Compromise and Release and Stipulations with Request for Award.
- Provide regular status reports and case analysis to clients.
- Ensure compliance with California Labor Code and WCAB procedural deadlines.
- Meet a monthly billable target of 250 hours.
- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of California workers' compensation experience on the defense side.
- Experience with insurance claims, subrogation, civil litigation, or liens is a plus, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and function effectively in a fast paced environment.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
