Position: Assistant Manager(07725) - 2915 Van Buren Blvd.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations during your shift, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high service standards.

  • Cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
  • Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, work to a schedule, perfect image and adherence to standards, great customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, profitability.
  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
  • Prepare product and receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.
  • Deliver product by car to customers, and deliver flyers and door hangers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers.
  • Orientation and training provided on the job.
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standing – most tasks are performed from a standing position.
  • Walking – short distances for brief durations, including navigating stairs.
  • Sitting – paperwork completed at a desk or table when required.
  • Lifting – bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds; lift from floor and stack onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
  • Carrying – large cans (~3.5 lbs), pizza sauce up to 30 lbs, trays of dough 12 lbs each; carried over short distances.
  • Pushing – trays on dollies up to 30 inches wide; force up to 7.5 lbs; trays may also be pulled.
  • Climbing – navigate stairs or ladders to change signs, wash walls or perform maintenance.
  • Stooping and Bending – forward bending at the waist necessary at the pizza assembly station; approximately 30‑45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously; also at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching and Squatting – performed occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching – continuous; up, down, and forward. Occasionally reach above 72 inches to turn on or off oven controls, lift objects to shelves, scoop cornmeal from a barrel, wash dishes, and answer phones.
  • Hand Tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous use of hands; frequently use forearms and wrists; manipulate a pizza peel, rolling cutter, pizza cutter, and boxes; finger pinching required for assembling boxes.
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment – use of pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
WORK CONDITIONS
  • Varying ambient temperatures from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or higher in some areas.
  • Exposure to changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
SENSING
  • Talking and hearing on the telephone.
  • Near and mid‑range vision for most tasks.
  • Depth perception to lift and maneuver objects.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
  • Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Many team members begin as delivery drivers and may progress to franchise owners, managers, or corporate positions.
