Job Description

Pay Range: $23.94 – $31.00 / hour; based on experience.

Our Maintenance Technicians are crucial at Chuze Fitness. They ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities, directly impacting member experience and operational success. You'll handle preventive maintenance, perform repairs on fitness equipment, and collaborate with the facilities team and across departments.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cross‑departmental communication to remain up‑to‑date on repair and replacement needs in customer‑facing spaces and facility infrastructure.
  • Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders for both in‑house duties and outsourced contractor services.
  • Coordinate outsourced projects by reviewing pricing and approving contracted jobs.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance, identifying repair and service needs and prioritizing the most critical repairs to minimize disruptions to members wherever possible.
  • Assist in performing repairs and maintenance of equipment and maintain the Maintenance Log.
  • Maintain an overview of inventory counts and order new equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Travel within the market to participate in training sessions, department meetings, and provide support, as needed.
  • Practice Chuze Kindness while completing assignments on the gym floor or other member‑facing areas.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly, including email management and communication.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English.
  • Ability to remain standing, stationary, or moving for prolonged periods.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Regularly exposed to pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, and grease/oil.
  • Use of a ladder and roof access.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
Qualifications Required
  • Excellent analytical problem‑solving with strong attention to detail.
  • Teamwork‑based mentality.
  • Previous experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Access to reliable transportation with the ability to travel between properties during the workday.
  • Proficient mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain fitness facility equipment and systems.
Experience

2 years in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or related role.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred
  • Technical school graduate or attendee.
  • Previous experience working with a Building Management System (BMS) / Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) control systems.
