Position Overview
As the Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, leading a team of Distribution Center Associates in executing shipping and receiving responsibilities safely and productively, in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be a key player in our supply‑chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so that merchandise is received, processed, stored, packed, and shipped promptly to help us get the right products to the right stores at the right time.
SHIFT:
Tuesday – Friday, 4:00 pm – 2:00 am.
- Analyzes productivity, efficiency, and accuracy data to lead and drive team performance excellence and maximize individual team member performance and potential.
- Leads and acts as an ambassador for the company’s core values, fostering an engaging, professional, and inclusive team environment.
- Acts as a catalyst and action driver for complex, cross‑functional, and interdepartmental assignments and special projects.
- Practices everyday development by providing feedback, coaching, and development to their team – and receiving the same for oneself.
- Ensures ongoing training and consistent compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, and rules.
- Effectively and confidently leverages technology, warehouse management systems, and reporting tools to drive results and performance excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a similarly related field) or a combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years’ experience leading in a high‑volume distribution environment.
- Management/leadership experience in a supply‑chain distribution center environment.
- Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring, coaching, and development initiatives.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred.
- Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems within the Distribution Center.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lb. or more and to stand for extended periods of time.
- Bi‑lingual a plus.
