Administrative Operations Manager

Under the general direction of the Chief of Police, the Administrative Operations Manager is directly responsible for supervising, managing, and coordinating the administrative operations of the Office of the Chief and associated Departmental skilled technical support functions for UCPD. The Administrative Operations Manager directly supervises a wide range of administrative services and operational support activities, including executive support, accounting and payroll oversight, purchasing, budget-related processing, records administration, coordination of staff workflow, crime analysis reporting, property and evidence supervision, and IACLEA Accreditation management.

The Administrative Operations Manager functions as a key administrative advisor to Department leadership and is responsible for analyzing and interpreting policies, establishing and maintaining administrative procedures, monitoring internal controls, and ensuring accountability and stewardship of Departmental operational support, financial management, payroll reconciliation, and personnel matters.

The Administrative Operations Manager also serves as the Department's IACLEA Accreditation Manager and leads accreditation and reaccreditation planning, compliance monitoring, standards implementation, policy coordination, documentation management, and assessment preparation. The Administrative Operations Manager partners with Command Staff and functional unit leaders to ensure professional standard compliance, organizational accountability, continuous process improvement, and operational readiness.

The full salary range for the Chief of Staff is $84,100 - $154,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $120,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, years of licensure experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
