The full salary range for the EHS Safety Programs Manager is $93,200 - $174,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $93,200 - $129,108 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management supports the University of California, Riverside by promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant campus environment through prevention, education, consultation, inspection, investigation, and continuous improvement. The department partners with campus units to identify hazards, implement controls, ensure compliance with applicable requirements, and strengthen a culture of safety.
The EHS Safety Programs Manager serves as a campus leader within Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management (EHSRM) and reports to the Director of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Programs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve occupational safety programs across the UCR campus community.
- Supervise assigned safety specialists.
- Report to the Director of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Programs.
- Be accountable for campus-wide program performance, including measurable outcomes, compliance results, and effective program execution.
- Current U.S. work authorization.
- Relevant education, licensure, and certifications in occupational safety and risk management.
- Experience supervising safety specialists and managing campus-wide safety programs.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
