immediate opening for an experienced painter.
General Functions- Performs inside and outside painting duties in a productive manner to include: preparing paint by mixing components accurately, preparing surfaces before painting, applying specified coatings of paint.
- Utilizes standard paint equipment such as paint and airless spray equipment, motorized lifts, paint brushes and other related equipment.
- Applies technical knowledge of all coating materials to ensure acceptable application.
- Prepares for painting by erecting scaffold and ladders properly.
- Disposes of residual materials appropriately.
- Assists with the training of apprentices.
- Reports to management when the work is completed and/or if there are problems/discrepancies with the jobs.
- Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner.
- Advises management of malfunctioning tools and equipment.
- Answers customer inquiry regarding jobs as needed.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
