Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Riverside, CA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $21.50 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 12:00PM – 8:30PM
- Assist in developing Quality Control procedures, specifications, testing, and product verification for adhesives, mortars, textured coatings, and paint-specialty products.
- Review and analyze incoming raw materials and other products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support QC supervisor in controlling product flow, including raw materials, packaging, manufactured products, and customer returns.
- Perform physical quality control tests such as density, flow, and color checks using spectrometers and other laboratory instruments.
- Occasionally climb silos with safety gear as needed.
- Monitor test results, maintain accurate records in notebooks and electronic systems, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Ensure all lab policies and safety procedures are followed; keep the laboratory environment organized and clean.
- Control the conformance of unloading procedures, supervise raw material receipt, and report discrepancies to management.
- Assist in process improvements and adhere to safety rules at all times.
- Work closely with QA, R&D, Plant Managers, and production personnel to maintain quality standards.
- HS diploma or equivalent; manufacturing or laboratory experience preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Proficient in measuring liquids and powders, and capable of using laboratory instruments.
- Intermediate knowledge of PC computers and Windows software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and memos.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Willingness to perform tasks involving climbing silos with safety gear.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
