Job Description

Builders First Source, America’s largest supplier of building materials, seeks a Warehouse Associate to work on‑site at the Riverside, California location. Rate: $21.00 per hour. This role is intended for Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

Under direct supervision, handle and maintain the flow of materials and products on the premises according to established guidelines.

• Physically handle materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure optimal movement, lifting, carrying, and stacking as needed.
• Operate motorized and non‑motorized material handling equipment, including some that require specialized training.
• Respond attentively to training from foreman or senior handlers to increase knowledge of work processes.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury, attend periodic safety meetings as required, and may recommend safety improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

• Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non‑motorized material handling equipment.
• Manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing material handling tasks.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally; may need to climb, lift, push or kneel.
• Work performed within a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
