Job Description

• Follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to the next order.
• Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (top to bottom).
• Start with the external assembly process.
• Place knob/lever on worktable.
• Attach plastic washers and grease as required.
• Place shims, plates, and springs (depending on requested item).
• Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function and correct tightness (team lead can assist trainee).
• Add springs or spindles to the handle and make adjustments as needed.
• Proceed with assembling the inside component (repeat steps 1‑10).
• Complete Hour‑by‑Hour sheet with dates, times, and discrepancies throughout the process.
• Assist in moving between departments and roles to maintain lead times.

Maintain a clean workstation throughout the entire shift. Keep only the product needed on the worktable and refill individual or shared bins as required.

• Days 0‑27:
  Must be able to complete 10 pairs per hour.
• Days 27‑55:
  Must be able to complete 15 pairs per hour.
• Days 55‑85:
  Must be able to complete 22 pairs per hour.

• Meet productivity goals of 22 pairs per hour.
• Meet quality goals.
• Work willingly in a fast‑paced, intense environment.
• Work independently.
• Work varied hours as required.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic.

• Requires walking or standing for long periods of time.
• Requires lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
