Responsibilities- Production Management Scope (60%)
- Drive all operations required for the manufacturing of Fabrication, Weld, SSW, and SSL department product families, including automatic presses.
- Oversee activities from raw material management to finished goods shipment, directly leading department supervisors.
- Ensure daily performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and take timely corrective action when targets are not met.
- Collaborate with Production Planning and Scheduling to adjust labor and equipment allocation in response to customer demand.
- Own the department’s Value Stream Map(s) and champion continuous improvement initiatives that drive progress in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
- Develop, analyze, and present reports on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Conduct, lead, or implement process audits and Kaizen events to identify and eliminate process deviations and root causes.
- Manage staff, including work assignments, training, vacations, overtime, absenteeism, and temporary employment.
- Talent Development (20%)
- Design, implement, and continuously refine a training and development roadmap for new hires and tenured employees.
- Ensure training content covers safety protocols, SOPs, production updates, and product changes, aligning with compliance standards and business needs.
- Provide direction, support, and accountability for department leaders through performance management strategies, clear expectations, and timely feedback.
- Act as a coach and mentor to team members, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
- Leadership (20%)
- Drive capability building by promoting cross‑training and skill expansion within and across value streams.
- Lead the documentation and formalization of critical operational knowledge, converting tribal knowledge into standardized work instructions.
- Investigate incidents related to safety, attendance, and process deviations, and administer progressive discipline when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
- 5 years leading high‑performing teams.
- 2 years of experience executing a lean vision and journey.
- 2 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems, SAP a plus.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing manufacturing and distribution effectiveness.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP (or similar MRP software), and OEE software. - Lean Manufacturing:
Knowledge of elimination of waste, continuous improvement, S5, Kaizen, Quality Built In, JIT, Kanban, and leveled production. - Mathematics:
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
The job requires frequent sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and standing. Occasionally, the employee may need to push or lift up to 25 lbs.
