Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent education
  • Experience operating CNC mills and lathes
  • Experience with machine setups, tooling changes, and fixture adjustments
  • Knowledge of shop arithmetic, GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining processes
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
Job Duties
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual machines, and cleaning equipment
  • Measure, mark, and verify dimensions of materials and finished parts
  • Select and install fixtures, cutting tools, and machine accessories
  • Program, edit, and adjust machine controls as needed
  • Monitor machine operation and make corrections to maintain quality standards
  • Machine, deburr, inspect, and test parts to customer specifications
  • Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize tooling and production processes
  • Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues to improve efficiency and delivery performance
  • Maintain machines and equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules
  • Follow ISO, OSHA, quality control, and safety procedures
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Provide support in other departments as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.
  • Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a CNC Machinist you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications.
