Job Description & How to Apply Below

The County of Riverside's Transportation Department has an opportunity for a Welder-Fabricator in Riverside.

Under general supervision, the Welder-Fabricator (Machinist-Welder per the classification) performs welding and metal fabrication work related to equipment repair, alteration and installation; reads and interprets layouts, work orders and blueprints; fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal products; and performs other related duties as required, such as light mechanical preparation.

The Machinist-Welder is the journey level classification in the Machinist-Welder series and reports to an appropriate supervisor or manager level position. The Machinist-Welder series is distinguished from other related classes by the fact that it requires skill in three fields - machinist, welding and sheet metal fabrication. Work is performed independently, and supervision received consists of general and specific job assignments and inspection of finished work.
