$4080.00/week –
Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety and comfort while managing labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using GE fetal monitoring equipment.
- Manage labor progress, perform cervical exams, and titrate medications as needed.
- Assist with procedures such as NST, cervical exams, and newborn care, including baby catching.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with policies.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR systems (CPN, Meditech).
- Respond effectively to labor emergencies and provide postpartum care when required.
Qualifications:
- Valid California RN license with current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Proven ability to manage labor, delivery, and postpartum situations with efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to float to postpartum/couplet care units.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
