About This Role

The Sp Unit Staff RN in the NICU provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with the healthcare team.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

• 1-year recent experience in Level III NICU or completion of KP NICU course within the last 12 months

• Current RN License in California
• Current NRP card required
• Basic Life Support certification required
