Quality Engineering
This is a senior-level Quality Assurance Engineering role with informal leadership responsibilities. You will guide and support Quality Inspectors and Analysts while partnering closely with Operations to strengthen procedural discipline and manufacturing consistency.
This is not just maintenance of compliance — it is about reinforcing structure, qualification rigor, and audit readiness across the production floor.
Manufacturing capabilities include:
- Rubber & urethane molding
- Tight-tolerance finishing and inspection
- Regulated production environments
- Lean-driven operational processes
The company is currently ISO 9001 certified and operates in quality-sensitive markets requiring disciplined documentation and audit readiness.
Immediate Focus Areas
- Implement and reinforce a structured procedural approach within manufacturing
- Ensure production personnel are properly qualified for assigned tasks
- Strengthen documentation consistency and operational discipline
- Increase audit readiness and system compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Conduct scheduled internal audits
- Host and support external audits (Customer and ISO)
- Lead CAPA initiatives and root cause investigations
- Drive systemic corrective actions, not surface-level fixes
- Interface directly with customers on quality expectations and investigations
- Support new product introductions from a quality standpoint
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering
This role will:
- Conduct internal audits per schedule
- Host external customer and ISO audits (with support as needed)
- Communicate directly with customers regarding quality expectations, product concerns, and complaint resolution
Ideal Background
- Strong ISO 9001 experience (AS9100 exposure helpful but not required)
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with rubber, urethane, elastomer, or plastic molding processes
- Experience guiding production teams toward procedural discipline
- Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills
- Comfortable leading audit discussions and hosting auditors
A deep operational understanding of manufacturing is critical. Direct rubber/urethane experience is beneficial, but candidates from structured plastic molding environments can transition successfully.
- Six-Figure Base salary w/ 5% performance bonus
- No relocation assistance will be offered
- Benefits are A+ Rated!
What Makes This Opportunity Compelling
- Retirement-driven opening (not turnover-driven)
- High-visibility role within the facility
- Direct impact on procedural rigor and audit readiness
- Stable, performance-driven manufacturing environment
- Opportunity to elevate quality systems, not just maintain them
If you are a senior quality professional who understands that true compliance comes from operational discipline — not just paperwork — this role offers meaningful impact.
