Quality Systems Lead

Job Summary

A growing manufacturing organization in Riverside, CA is seeking a Quality Systems Lead for a direct hire opportunity. This highly visible role is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys strengthening Quality Management Systems, improving business processes, and partnering across departments to drive compliance and operational excellence.

• Lead CAPA investigations from initiation through closure, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, follow-up, and documentation.
• Manage quality system activities including document control, DCOs, ECOs, change management, periodic document reviews, and controlled work instructions.
• Track, report, and support resolution of Cost of Poor Quality programs, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support internal audits, compliance efforts, non-product software validation tracking, and quality system integrity.
• Partner with operations, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and support quality objectives.
• Provide occasional cross-functional support for basic help desk tickets, IT asset tracking, inventory updates, and administrative technology projects as needed.

• Lead and manage Quality Management System activities, including CAPA, document control, change management, and compliance processes.
• Coordinate quality improvement projects and drive initiatives through completion.
• Support internal audits, documentation reviews, corrective action follow-up, and cross-functional process improvement.
• Track, validate, and report on quality metrics, COPQ activity, and non-product software validation items.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality systems, quality compliance, manufacturing quality, or a related function.
• Experience supporting or managing a Quality Management System.
• Strong understanding of CAPA, document control, DCOs, ECOs, change management, and compliance documentation.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to create, review, and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Ability to work effectively across departments and communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Experience in an ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 environment.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with internal auditing, document control, or quality systems administration.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action management experience.
• Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and quality-focused best practices.
