Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by finding empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other store areas to contribute to the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
- 6 months experience using retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary activities.
- Capable of minimally lifting 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEmployees may work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, including varying temperatures, humidity, wind, and potential noise. Lifting is expected up to 75 lbs, with team lifts used for heavier items. Powered equipment may be used as required with proper training.
Wage: $16.90 - $17.85 per hour (starting rate may vary based on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience).
