Branch Manager in Training (BMIT) Position Summary

The Branch Manager in Training (BMIT) is a performance-based, hands‑on, customer‑focused role responsible for delivering results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations. Work will be performed in compliance with all federal and state regulations and company policies. This position serves as a developmental role to be promoted into a Branch Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition: Actively assist in meeting branch performance metrics. Utilize sales tools to provide an exceptional customer experience and use marketing techniques inside and outside the branch to drive new customer growth. Serve as day‑to‑day servicing of an ever‑growing loan portfolio, present financial solutions, develop and maintain relationships, educate customers on loan terms, build trust with customers and staff, deploy community marketing efforts and track them as required.
  • Operations, Compliance, & Collections: Assist in managing the P&L to meet budgeted numbers. Maintain accurate cash controls and security procedures. Enter customer information accurately into the point‑of‑sales system. Perform and document collection calls, field visits and other approved collection activities. Complete other duties as assigned while adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Team & Leadership: Work closely with and support others in a positive team environment to enhance the customer experience. Handle day‑to‑day branch operations and communication with customers and employees under the supervision of the Branch Sales Manager and Divisional Director of Operations.
Education Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Experience Required

Sales and/or customer‑service experience required, or equivalent experience. One year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.

Knowledge Required

Strong math skills including cash counting; professional verbal communication by phone and in person; ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply complex information; professional interaction and social skills; negotiation of payment terms; compliance with laws and policies; computer proficiency; composure in stressful situations; ability to develop and maintain business relationships.

Physical Requirements

Standing for long periods; sitting occasionally; walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching, twisting; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Driving and possession of reliable insured transportation. Exposure to outdoor elements, typing, data entry, use of office equipment, and travel to branch centers. Must meet the physical requirements of the position at any center within the division.

Travel

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable insured transportation. Ability to travel within the division for marketing, collections, staffing, special events, and banking responsibilities.

Attire

The Company offers employees the option of wearing polos, blouses, collared shirts, sweaters or other professional attire with slacks or jeans and appropriate shoes. Employees should dress accordingly to their business.

Other

Must be 18 (19 in AL), eligible to work in the USA, and able to complete all post‑offer screens including a criminal background check, MVR, credit check if required by state law, and reference check. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Schedules may be changed as needed to accommodate business needs. Overtime may be required.
