Retail Sales Associate

Overview

Verizon is hiring for a full-time Retail Sales Associate. This role offers opportunities to grow your career within one of our retail stores, with a focus on customer service, technology products, and sales success. In this worksite-based role, you’ll work onsite at a defined location(s).

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers  needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by using effective communication to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
• Grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
• Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at Verizon-sponsored events.

You’ll need to have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during peak periods.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience working in a commission-based environment.
• Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions.
• Customer service experience.

This position offers base pay with potential for commissions. The starting base pay rate for the location listed on this job requisition is $18.27 per hour. You may also be eligible for:

• Up to $18,000 per year in individual-based commissions (potential total earnings to $65,000+ to $75,500+ annually, depending on geography, hours, and performance).
• Five weeks of paid time off (vacation, holidays, personal days).
