Territory

Riverside, CA – Psychiatry. Target city for territory is Riverside; candidates must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries and have access to a major airport. Territory boundaries include Temecula, River Point, Corona, Mission Viejo, Riverside, Laguna Niguel, Murietta, San Clemente, Fallbrook, Loma Linda, Lake Elsinore, Dama Point.

Join Lundbeck, a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to brain health. As a Psychiatry Account Manager you will promote our portfolio, execute sales and marketing strategies, and apply clinical knowledge to drive performance in a rapidly changing environment.

Essential Functions
  • Business Planning & Account Leadership – Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
  • Selling – Deliver clear, compelling messages, probe customer needs, handle objections, and close every call with a commitment to action.
  • Customer Development – Build and maintain productive relationships internally and externally, applying a “total office” account management approach.
  • Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – Gather and validate market trends and dynamics, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize opportunities.
  • Reimbursement – Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using Lundbeck resources.
  • Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance – Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.
  • High intellectual capacity to score highly on disease and product training exams and be certified on product knowledge annually.
  • Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills.
  • Computer literate; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing; driving is essential.
  • Meeting industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers/customer facilities.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
  • Experience in a specialty product sales force.
  • Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products (depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder).
  • Documented successful sales performance.
  • Ownership and accountability for integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical background and experience using sales data reporting tools.
  • Experience with product launches.
  • Experience working with alliance partners or co‑promotions.
  • Leadership through participation in committees, rotations, panels, and related activities.
Travel
  • Willingness/ability to travel 30%–40% domestically to meet customers and attend conferences (approximately 4–8 meetings across the U.S. per year). Travel must be completed timely.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range for California residents: $125,000 – $147,000, with eligibility for a $40,500 sales incentive target. Benefits include flexible paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) company match, company car, and additional benefits found on our career site.
