Security and Safety Coordinator
The Riverside Superior Court offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for judicial officers, staff, and the public across the county. We are currently seeking a Security and Safety Coordinator to join our Facilities team. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position provides countywide support and serves as a key resource for court security systems, safety policies, and emergency preparedness efforts.
Responsibilities- Serve as a key resource for court security systems, safety policies, and emergency preparedness efforts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and public safety partners.
- Conduct risk and threat assessments, risk management, and security systems maintenance and management.
- Option 1: Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration or a closely related field.
Experience:
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in reviewing, collecting, filing risk and threat assessments, risk management, corporate security management, or security systems maintenance and management in a private, nonprofit, public agency or federal/state court. - Option 2: Education:
High school/GED degree.
Experience:
Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in reviewing, collecting, filing risk and threat assessments, risk management, corporate security management, or security systems maintenance and management in a private, nonprofit, public agency or federal/state court. Preferably with three (3) years of the seven years with highly responsible experience in risk management, emergency preparedness, disaster or emergency services.
Substitution: Possession of a Cal OES/CSTI Emergency Management Specialist certification can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
