Security Officer

Oversees daily security operations, supervises assigned personnel, and ensures the consistent delivery of safety, security, and customer service.

Compensation: $24.76/Per Hour

Responsibilities include maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property, and providing supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a completed high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications, strong vision abilities, ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person, valid driver's license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company's driving guidelines if applicable, previous work experience with the public in a service setting, and ability to meet qualification standards for armed (handgun) and TASER positions.

Physical demands and work environment include variable work hours, ability to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch, lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more, and specific vision abilities required by the job.
