What to Expect

A Civil Installer performs essential, physically demanding work on construction sites, including preparing job sites, loading/unloading materials, and assisting skilled trades with installing, assembling, or dismantling structures, fixtures, and equipment. They operate tools (drills, saws, jackhammers), dig trenches, and ensure safety compliance, requiring high physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, often exceeding.

What You'll Do

* Clearing debris, vegetation, or obstacles from construction sites; demolishing old structures; and maintaining a clean, organized work area to prevent accidents. Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials such as gravel, sand, concrete, or tools using wheelbarrows, shovels, or basic machinery like forklifts (with proper certification)

* Digging trenches, holes, or foundations using hand tools (e.g., shovels, picks) or assisting with powered equipment like backhoes; ensuring proper depth and stability for utilities or footings

* Assisting in setting up forms for pouring concrete; mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete; and removing forms once set

* Helping install or repair underground utilities like pipes, cables, or drainage systems, including back filling trenches after placement. Setting up barricades, signs, or flagging to control traffic around work zones; monitoring hazards and reporting issues

* Cleaning and performing basic maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Installing barriers to prevent soil erosion; grading land; and planting or seeding areas for stabilization

* Supporting skilled workers (e.g., carpenters, masons) by fetching tools, holding materials, or performing other entry-level tasks as needed

What You'll Bring

* Technical Certification or Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

* Experience in electrical, mechanical, or installation work (specific requirements may vary)
* "Valid driver's license and clean driving record"

* Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and perform physical tasks

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed

Expected Compensation

$18.29 - $30.78/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
