Reporting to the Skilled Crafts Trades Supervisor in the Facilities Services Maintenance department, the Plumber performs journey‑level plumbing work related to the installation, inspection, modification, remodeling and repair of commercial and residential plumbing equipment for gas, water, steam, sewage, and storm related plumbing systems.
Executes preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems throughout campus. Maintains clear and accurate documentation of all inspections, testing, and performs corrective and/or preventative maintenance. Reviews and updates shop logs, both paper and electronic, according to changes. Reviews and creates blueprints/drawings and specifications for new construction and retrofit/renovation projects according to building code requirements. Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purposes of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Performs all job duties in adherence with University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students.
The full salary range for the Plumber is $42.17 - $47.48 per hour. Salary offers are based on education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Valid plumber’s license and certification required.
