Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Helper (Handyman)
Location: Riverside, CA
Pay Range: $20/hr.
Schedule: 40 hours/week
The Facilities Technician will play a key role in ensuring the mall remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for both customers and staff.
What’s the Job?- Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining pipes and fixtures.
- Conduct general electrical repairs and maintenance, such as replacing outlets, and light fixtures.
- Handle carpentry tasks, including repairing or replacing doors, cabinets, flooring, and other wooden structures.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs before they become major issues.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Work closely with other facility staff and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. Prior experience in a facilities maintenance role preferred.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, with a solid understanding of maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with mall management, staff, and contractors.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in plumbing or electrical work are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to work at heights and in various physical conditions.
- Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods.
