EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION
PURPOSE:
We are an established, low-turnover construction company seeking a skilled Construction Trade Specialist
-Plaster III technician who takes pride in delivering seamless, high-quality repairs and understands the importance of both structural integrity and visual consistency.
WBC is not a production plastering company. We are a full-service, turnkey reconstruction firm that prioritizes quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. Our in-house tradesmen support a wide range of clients, including homeowners, construction professionals, boutique builders, and large-scale residential developers. We provide services throughout Southern California for HOAs, apartment communities, condominiums, and single-family homes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Expertise in integrating new lath with existing systems, ensuring proper reinforcement and long-term durability. Ability to diagnose and repair stucco-related water intrusion issues, including identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Strong knowledge of industry materials and methods, with the ability to clearly explain repair processes to clients and team members. Experience working with traditional plaster/stucco systems, as well as EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems) and acrylic finishes.
Proficiency in crack repair techniques, including matching and blending sand, texture, and finish to achieve a seamless appearance. Familiarity with fog coating and color blending to ensure uniformity across repaired and existing surfaces (preferred). Experience applying foam trims, architectural details, and decorative accents. Comfortable working at heights, including the safe use of ladders and scaffolding.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) Minimum of three (3) years of experience in plaster patching and smooth finish work. Strong knowledge of plaster materials, mixes, and application techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
Special Position Requirements:
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, using a ladder and lifting (25-60) lbs.
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday from approx. 8:00am-4:30pm This position may require occasional long hours to meet business needs, including being available for emergency needs
