Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Requirements- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of municipal combination inspection experience involving residential, commercial, or industrial properties
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (or ability to obtain)
- International Code Council (ICC) Building Inspector Certification required
- ICC Combination Dwelling Inspector Certificate or equivalent certifications in plumbing, mechanical, and electrical inspection required
- Thorough knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, zoning, and health codes
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with computers and applicable software programs
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including active construction sites
- Inspect residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects for compliance with building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes
- Conduct inspections throughout all phases of construction, from excavation through final completion
- Inspect foundations, framing, concrete, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components
- Verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and applicable regulations
- Inspect swimming pools, structural installations, and electrical bonding requirements
- Investigate complaints and inspect existing structures for hazardous or illegal conditions
- Issue correction notices, stop-work orders, and written inspection reports as needed
- Assist contractors, property owners, and the public by providing guidance on code requirements and permitting
- Verify contractor licensing and permit compliance on job sites
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
