Certified Toyota Technician
The Certified Toyota Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing cars and light trucks according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications. They utilize their technical expertise and experience to deliver high-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the service department. This role requires proficiency in using tools, including computerized diagnostic equipment, power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, jacks, and hoists.
Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on vehicles using specialized tools and equipment.
Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
Utilize factory service manuals and technical bulletins to ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and best practices.
Collaborate with service advisors to explain repair and maintenance recommendations to customers.
Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all repairs and services performed, using a computer system.
Stay up to date with the latest Toyota technologies, repair methods, and industry advancements through ongoing training and certification.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Organize and coordinate work schedules.
Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making.
Calibrate precise measurements as needed.
Exhibit manual dexterity in performing mechanical tasks.
Refrigerant Handling License
Valid Toyota Certified Technician status with relevant certifications
Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Toyota vehicles
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Salary Range: $28-$42 per base and flag hour
Ability to lift or carry 40-60 lb mechanical parts and tools.
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to climb ladders and assemble parts.
Frequent use of small hand tools and a computer.
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.
