Position: Group Facilitator I

Group Facilitator – Full Time, Non-exempt, at Cedar House Life Change Center

Salary range for this position is $23.00 – $32.50 per hour

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Group Facilitator Supervisor, you will assist in providing residential program services, cooperating with other staff in planning, evaluating, training, and implementing processes for program efficiency and client care.

Job Functions
  • Provide group facilitation/psychoeducation of evidence‑based curriculum to participants.
  • Document all group notes within required timelines.
  • Safeguard residents’ and visitors’ welfare at all times.
  • Pursue additional status/level advancement whenever possible.
  • Maintain timely and reliable attendance.
  • Provide quality service to clients as required by Cedar House Life Change Center, State, and County requirements.
  • Provide coverage for clinical and educational groups as needed.
  • Perform life‑saving measures when needed to protect the lives of Cedar House clients and employees.
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification program, CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP (preferred).
Education
  • Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
  • Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.
  • Enroll and complete a drug studies certificate program.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.
  • Maintain current certification and/or registration with CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Understand the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and its recovery.
  • Knowledgeable of confidentiality laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Resourceful, creative, and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Enforce all house rules and regulations consistently.
  • Continuously acquire and update knowledge and skills necessary to address chemical dependency and related counseling issues.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Address stressful situations calmly and communicate positively.
  • Work with diverse groups of people.
  • Uncompromising integrity and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Champion the mission, culture, and objectives of the organization.
  • Demonstrate value and respect for all employees.
  • High energy and enthusiasm.
  • Perform effectively as a team player.

Physical Requirements

The employee must stay in a stationary position 80% of the time, occasionally move within the office, operate a computer, and occasionally lift boxes up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided as needed.

Working Environment
  • No exposure to weather conditions while performing duties.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
