As a member of the Community Services-Recreation Department, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled recreation duties; implement recreational activities; provide leadership and direction for recreational programs; supervise facilities, special events, sports leagues, and excursions; provide guidance to groups engaged in recreation activities; and perform other related duties as required.

Hourly salary for this classification is as high as $25.11
. Additionally, City-paid benefits includes sick leave in accordance with state law.

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Program Coordinator, the Recreation Program Leader performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled recreation duties; implements recreational activities; provides leadership and direction for programs; supervises facilities, special events, sport leagues, and excursions; provides guidance to groups engaged in recreation activities; and performs other related duties as required.

Class Characteristics

The Recreation Program Leader is distinguished from the Recreation Aide in that this position has program responsibility and some supervision of volunteers and part-time staff.
