- 1. Perform daily shuttle operations between local distribution centers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to safety protocols.
- 2. Operate Class A vehicles and yard goats proficiently to maneuver trailers in high-volume yard environments, ensuring efficient flow and staging processes.
- 3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations, addressing any identified maintenance needs promptly.
- 4. Maintain accurate transportation logs and documentation in compliance with DOT and company policies, ensuring operational transparency and regulatory adherence.
- 5. Uphold UNIS Transportation's standards for safety, service, and efficiency while actively collaborating with dispatch teams and warehouse staff.
- 1. A valid Class A CDL license with a minimum requirement of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience in high-volume logistics environments.
- 2. An acceptable DOT/Safety driving record, with no history of DUIs or major driving violations, alongside a valid DOT Medical card meeting US Department of Transportation medical standards.
- 3. The ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol tests, as well as willingness to undertake a thorough background check and provide employment references.
- 1. Prior experience working in high-volume yards, specifically with shuttle operations that demand precision and time management.
- 2. Familiarity with advanced fleet management tools and yard management systems to optimize logistical processes and improve overall efficiency.
- 3. Demonstrated expertise in DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and inspection protocols.
