Fuel Logistics Dispatcher

Role Description The Fuel Logistics Dispatcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Riverside, CA. This role coordinates daily fuel deliveries, assigns loads, and manages schedules for a fleet of tanker trucks to ensure timely and accurate service. The dispatcher monitors routes and equipment using real-time tracking systems, communicates directly with drivers, and adjusts dispatch plans as needed to meet customer and safety requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining detailed dispatch records, confirming product quantities and destinations, and collaborating with operations, safety, and customer service teams to resolve issues. The role also involves supporting 24/9 dispatch coverage, prioritizing loads, and upholding company standards for safety, reliability, and professionalism.

• Experience in dispatching or logistics coordination within fuel transportation, or related industries, with strong knowledge of routing and load planning.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS or telematics systems (e.g., Samsara), and basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, databases).
• Strong communication skills for clear, professional interaction with drivers, customers, and internal teams, including active listening and concise instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Understanding of safety, DOT, and regulatory requirements related to fuel transportation, or willingness to learn and apply these standards.
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation of loads, schedules, delivery times, and incident reports.
• Willingness to support extended or flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed for 24/7 operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, transportation management, or a related field is beneficial.
• Previous experience in petroleum transportation or hazardous materials environments is a plus.
