Aviation Resource Management Position
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and control all operational administrative aspects of aviation resource management by utilizing the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS). Authenticates and publishes aeronautical orders, validates entitlement pays, verifies physical and physiological requirements and determines suspensions, disqualifications, revalidation, and requalification for rated/ non-rated aircrew, and parachutist.
Plans, implements and controls all operational administrative aspects of aviation resource management.
Interprets and administers laws and regulations regarding entitlement incentive pay. Applies complex flight/jump pay rules IAW Public Law, DoD, and AFI guidance.
Researches, validates, and interprets Air Force Instruction (AFI) Mission Design Series (MDS) specific medical and physiological requirements and flying and ground training requirements.
Substantiates personnel listings, determines position status and performs a wide-range of administrative duties.

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
Experience required in the Aviation Resource Management and Aviation Resource Management System is highly desirable.
May be required to travel Temporary duty (TDY) as directed by management, sometimes on short notice, traveling by military or commercial aircraft or by any other designated means.
May be required to work other than normal duty hours and tours of duty such as rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, call back, uncommon tours of duty, holidays, etc.
DFAS Case Management System (CMS) knowledge highly desirable.
May be required to attend various training courses to gain/maintain job proficiency.
Incumbent may be required to complete Chief Host Aviation Resource Management course to obtain certifications necessary to perform additional duties in accordance with published guidance and instructions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administration and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of extensive body of Aviation Resource Management objectives, policies, technical rules, guidelines, instructions, regulations, policies and precedents to support and flight pay and training requirements; knowledge of AF operations, resource management systems and associated programs, interface requirements, browsers, personnel flight records and maintenance;
knowledge of aviation service eligibility, aircrew rating requirements, aircrew flight incentive pay requirements, conditional incentive pay requirements in relationship to reserve status codes, active/inactive reserve status. OR
EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B., or J.D. if related NOTE :
