Position Overview
This position supports distribution center initiatives, in conjunction with Inventory Control and non-Inventory Control related activities targeted to improve shrinkage, performance and cost savings initiatives. This position will directly impact the organization by partnering with multiple levels of the organization to drive, communicate, and execute million dollar initiatives for Burlington Stores. This position plays a key role in SOX compliance and inventory accuracy.
Research, problem solve, perform root cause analysis, and process financial inventory adjustments impacting inventory for either the East Coast or West Coast Distribution Centers and Warehouses in addition to the Burlington Stores. Must independently provide a strong research skill set and problem solving ability while leveraging the skills and knowledge of other team members across the Supply Chain to accomplish their responsibilities.
Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment is required. Ability to travel to multiple facilities across multiple shifts as needed. Required to comply with the policies and procedures as defined in SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure). This position will support members of the Supply Chain, including but not limited to, Finance, Buyers, Allocations and Planning, Transportation, DC Operations and Burlington Stores nationwide.
Day In The Life
Develops a thorough knowledge of internal department and external operational SOP's and best practices
• Ensure operational members are accurately following SOPs
• Perform thorough audits and documents investigation methods and issues affecting inventory while performing root cause analysis
• Communicate (written and/or verbal) recommendations and engage the appropriate levels of management in the Supply Chain to assist with the escalation of items needing immediate attention.
• Work with IT, POC, DC OPs, Finance and other work groups for assistance in research and problem solving.
• Analyze and report systemic and operational issues to prevent situations that could result in the loss of company assets in a timely manner.
• Plays a key role in projects related to inventory movement and cost savings initiatives
• Ensure all key functions and reports, as assigned, related to inventory transactions are monitored consistently, accurately, and timely.
• Cross trains frequently on operational procedures
• Interacts confidently and accurately with all levels of management
• Completes timely inventory adjustments as directed
• Audits and conducts operational research in order to identify receiving errors and reduce shrink

Education:
BA / BS preferred
Licenses/Certification/Registration:
Ability to become certified on DC equipment as needed
Experience:
1+ year Analyst, Inspection, Inventory Control or related distribution center / retail experience preferred
1+ year experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and sortation system (Dematic) preferred
Experience in a high volume Distribution environment preferred.
Computer Proficiency with experience in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow-thorough skills
Excellent math and problem solving skills including root cause analysis
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high performance team.
Ability to remain flexible to shifting priorities.
Physical Requirements:Ability to work on site and remotely
Ability to travel to all Distribution Centers and Warehouses
Ability to sit at computer researching for long periods of time.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Standing / bending / lifting throughout the work day
Frequent exposure to dust, high levels of noise and moving machinery
Ability to respond to time-critical issues
