Location:

Riverside, CA

Shift: Monday‑Friday 2:30pm–11:00pm or until completion
Hourly range: $26.00 – $36.40 (includes shift differential)

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is to support the Warehouse Supervisor through inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor, facilitate effective warehouse operations, coordinate receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, delegate work among staff, and produce workforce productivity and quality reports. The Lead Associate also communicates with external customers regarding disruptions, delivery updates, and ensures customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excel in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities while following direction and working independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AIMS (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) (preferred).
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment (PIT) and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily team meetings at the start of each shift, coordinate job functions for employees in Inbound/Outbound operations, and support the team in the supervisor's absence.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement necessary training steps, and ensure job functions are performed according to set policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and maintain daily workflow priorities to support business needs, review work status with the supervisor throughout the day, and anticipate needs to maximize end‑of‑day results.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations.
  • Direct workflows on the floor of the warehouse, including packing, unloading, shipping and managing delivery schedules.
  • Analyze internal data and reports on productivity and efficiency to determine when and where the warehouse performs better or worse than expected.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities in alignment with operational objectives.
  • Assist in inbound and outbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis to determine labor utilization.
  • Assist in inventory management, stocking, and shipping as necessary.
  • Work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly established performance standards.
  • Adhere to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed safety shoes and material handling equipment safety harnesses; comply with Cardinal Health's EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
