Overview
Cogent is seeking a Service Coordinator for our Riverside, Missouri facility. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree (minimum) and prior experience in a customer service/order coordination/scheduling role. Key Responsibilities- Create work orders for shop technicians to perform work on equipment
- Acquire documents needed for technicians to perform the job (parts list, exploded diagram, etc)
- Review technician inspections and prepare inspection reports for customer review
- Obtain pricing from vendors/subcontractors to prepare inclusive repair and/or replacement pricing for customers
- Procure all parts, equipment, and tools needed for each job
- Track purchase orders and forecast part arrivals
- Schedule jobs with the Shop Service Manager
- Assist the Service Manager with change orders or modifications to the work scope
- Update customers and the sales team about job status using appropriate communication methods
- Work in Salesforce daily, handling Shop Service related requests
- Attend on-site and virtual training as required (may require infrequent travel)
- Coordinate the work of the sales and service departments to ensure orders are managed with excellence
- Monitor quality from project planning through order completion
- Process warranties and returns to vendors in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with internal and external customers
- Complete all necessary safety training
- Associate’s degree or vocational degree in mechanics, industrial engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to elicit cooperation and de-escalate tension in a customer service setting
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines with analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and phone etiquette skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Gmail, Google Drive, and Salesforce
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate forklifts
