The Role

Morton Amphitheater is seeking a Venue Sustainability Crew to elevate our sustainability program to new heights in 2026. This seasonal, part‑time position is the backbone of Live Nation’s resource‑recovery and circularity program. You will work under the Venue Sustainability Manager, ensuring maximum landfill diversion during event waste sorting, educating fans and staff, and supporting our venue sustainability culture. Hours vary by show schedule and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Venue Sustainability Supervisor onboarding, training, and assist with general Venue Sustainability Crew training and oversight.
  • Be onsite during pre‑season venue set up to ensure zero‑waste operational procedures.
  • Assist in mid‑ and post‑show waste sorting of all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
  • Be available on show days and non‑show days, including weekdays and weekends, to supervise sorting operations and support the Venue Sustainability Crew, ensuring maximum resource recovery and landfill diversion.
  • Assist with Front‑of‑House and Back‑of‑House Zero‑Waste initiatives as outlined by the Venue Sustainability Manager.
  • Maintain a clean sorting area and support the Post‑Show Pick‑up after each event, which may require scheduled shifts on days after a show.
  • Step in and oversee sustainability processes if the Venue Sustainability Manager cannot attend a scheduled show. Other tasks as assigned on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
  • Show days require about 90 % of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs., with about 75 % of that time spent sorting materials.
  • No fear of getting dirty or dealing with unpleasant odors.
  • Ability to work outside in variable weather.
  • Strong time‑management skills to show up on time and work late hours.
  • Dedication to pursue a role that has a real and immediate impact.
  • Creative thinker and problem‑solver with a positive attitude.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Experience in events/zero‑waste events is a plus.
