US Farathane - 1st Shift Shipping & Receiving Team Lead
This position ensures the shipment of parts is completed in an orderly fashion, so the shipments arrive on time and in good condition according to customer demands.

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPEs and TPOs as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Communicate as necessary with plant personnel to meet shipping schedules for on-time deliveries.
- Act as conduit between the company, plant, materials department and department employees concerning schedules, overtime, assignments, and departmental changes.
- Assist supervisor in overseeing all employees in assigned area.
- Ensure teammates follow assignments and schedules.
- Serve as trainer of new employees for the shipping and receiving department.
- Monitor all personnel in assigned area for adherence to company policies and procedures (quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.).
- Lead associates in group problem solving and employee involvement activities.
- Assist in cycle counting of warehouse inventories when required.
- Assist in auditing inbound and outbound shipments when required.
- Be certified to operate a forklift and train new hires to operate a forklift.
- Generate shipping documents and export papers as needed; accurately operate shipping and receiving equipment including bar code equipment and UPS machinery.
- Load trucks with finished goods for customers, verifying shipments with product loaded.
- Unload, receive, and put away purchased material in proper location after quantity verification and inspection.
- Maintain high level of organization; keep warehouse organized and clean.
- Ensure stock rotation (FIFO – First In / First Out).
- Stage and correctly label all outbound product.
- Communicate professionally and exceptionally with internal and external customers.
- Confirm and update shipping documents to comply with customer regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hi-lo license required.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Forklift driving skills.
- Computer skills.
- FIFO comprehension.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WorkingConditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
