Job Summary

This role reviews customer requirements and prepares/updates the production schedule.

Required Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of five years of experience/training in manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and an inventory management system (CMS)
  • Excellent time management, decision making, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of customer‑specific requirements, just‑in‑time customer demand, and ISO 9001/IATF 16949
Essential Functions
  • Maintain and update the production schedule
  • Communicate schedule to off‑shift supervisors, including any additional information they need to be aware of
  • Work with improvement team and tool room to coordinate die trials
  • Maintain minimum run standards to ensure productivity
  • Monitor supplier on‑time delivery performance with shipping department
  • Liaise between production and shipping to ensure on‑time delivery
  • Input data into Press Hits chart, Pressroom OEE chart, and Pressroom Attainment chart
  • Schedule bank builds for die or press maintenance needs
  • Review hot‑sheet and update schedule, add jobs, or change counts according to production requirements; set priorities for the off‑shift according to hot‑sheet requirements
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Materials Manager
  • Abide by all company policies, including Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Work Environment

80% office environment, 20% plant floor (PPE required).

Physical Demands

Regularly required to hear and sit; frequently required to talk; occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and lift/move up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
