Pinnacle Point Wellness & Rehabilitation in Riverside, Missouri is hiring an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing and long-term care team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is ready to take the next step in their nursing leadership career.

The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing (DON) with the daily clinical operations and management of the Nursing Department. The ADON helps oversee nursing services, support nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

• Support the Director of Nursing (DON) with the overall administration and management of Nursing Services.

• Assist with the 24-hour supervision and oversight of nursing services and Nursing Department operations.

• Assume responsibility for clinical operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
  .

• Coordinate comprehensive resident care in accordance with physician orders, resident needs, facility policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.

• Communicate nursing policies, procedures, and expectations to nursing staff and monitor compliance.

• Monitor nursing practices and help ensure consistent implementation of quality standards of care.

• Participate in resident admissions and assist with evaluating prospective residents as needed.

• Participate in daily and weekly management and interdisciplinary team meetings.

• Monitor resident status, census changes, staffing needs, personnel matters, and resident or family concerns.

• Ensure appropriate nursing services, staffing, and supervision are provided to meet resident needs.

• Promote quality resident care, resident safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance

• Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate nursing follow-up.

• Help prevent pressure injuries and other avoidable complications through appropriate nursing oversight.

• Support efforts to maintain residents' highest practicable level of functioning and quality of life.

• Assist with compliance with CMS, federal and state regulations, Missouri nursing regulations, and facility policies
  .

• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

• Support staff education, training, coaching, and performance development.

• Respond professionally to resident and family concerns and help resolve issues.

• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Current, active RN or LPN license in the state of Missouri required.

• At least 2 years of nursing supervisory or leadership experience required.

• 5 years of long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or acute care experience preferred.

• Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing, ADON, Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, RN Supervisor, or LPN Supervisor is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, resident care, and skilled nursing regulations.

• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead, coach, and support a nursing team in a skilled nursing environment.

• Strong understanding of resident-centered care and long-term care nursing.
