Quality Engineer
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located near Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in quality and manufacturing, specifically in developing and maintaining quality systems.
Requirements of the Quality Engineer- 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s, or 3 years with a PhD (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
- Hands-on experience with QMS/QOS implementation, execution, or improvement
- Experience with quality data analysis, reporting, and metrics
- Exposure to PLM, MES, and ERP systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation and process development skills
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and support corrective/preventive actions
- Experience supporting audits (ISO, IATF, VDA); certification a plus

- Act as a subject matter expert for QMS, QOS, and PMT deployment and sustainment
- Support development, rollout, and continuous improvement of quality systems aligned with business goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, stability, and waste reduction
- Support implementation, validation, training, and optimization of quality systems and tools
- Gather user feedback and enhance system usability and effectiveness
- Support supplier and manufacturing quality processes through QMS/QOS tools
- Participate in internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up actions
- Assist with supplier audits to ensure compliance and performance improvement
- Monitor KPIs, identify risks, and support corrective and preventive actions
- Analyze data to improve reporting accuracy and drive insights
- Develop and deliver training on quality systems and best practices
- Support system-related requests, tools, and process improvements
- Participate in CI, Quality Excellence, and data-driven improvement projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance quality processes, methods, and tools
