BPD Sales Product Specialist - MRO
The BPD Sales Product Specialist – MRO will create, develop, and drive product line growth (PLG) within the target markets of bakery, produce, and meat processing. The role involves building customer relationships, handling complaints and inquiries, and coordinating with Account Managers to identify MRO, plant‑floor, and storeroom opportunities.
Only applicants from the following states will be considered:
Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas.
- Increase PLG through greater penetration within existing accounts while building business with new accounts.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts.
- Initiate additional sales by identifying cost‑saving opportunities (e.g., consolidate manufacturing, item‑level pricing, inventory reduction).
- Attend meetings and meet with manager on a regular basis.
- Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments.
- Utilize all appropriate VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) techniques and methodologies.
- High school graduate required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must work independently with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to work in a team setting.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to apply acceptable mathematical skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Experience with IBM iSeries/AS400 operating system highly desired.
- Significant travel required, often with overnight stays.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Occasional international travel required.
- Must live in one of the specified states.
