Product Sales Specialist – responsible for driving sales growth and profitability through expansion of existing accounts and development of new customer relationships. This role requires a consultative, service-oriented approach combined with strong analytical and organizational skills. Only applicants from the following states will be considered:
Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas.
- Grow sales and profitability by increasing penetration within existing accounts and developing new customer relationships
- Own and manage assigned accounts, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify and execute pricing strategies that support margin and volume objectives
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, and relationship building
- Manage product inventory levels for new and existing customers to ensure availability, accuracy, and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer service, sales, and management to support customer and company goals
- Attend customer meetings, internal meetings, and regular one-on-one reviews with management
- Utilize VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) methodologies to guide sales strategy and execution
- High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Previous outside sales experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment with internal partners and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with IBM I-Series / AS400 operating systems highly preferred
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a solutions-oriented approach
- Significant travel required with overnight stays
- Occasional international travel may be required
