The Maintenance III Technician is responsible for performing and overseeing all facility and equipment maintenance, repairs, installations, and removals. This role is the senior-level maintenance position at the site and ensures all equipment is safe, functional, and operating at maximum efficiency. The Maintenance III contributes directly to safe operations, production uptime, and regulatory compliance by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and completing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tasks.
This position requires expert technical skills, strong problem‑solving ability, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Monday thru Thursday – 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (4065) or Thursday‑Sun – 12 pm to 10:30 pm (4067)

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance III is responsible for all facility and equipment maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and system upgrades.
Equipment Maintenance & RepairPerform all preventive maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment, including (but not limited to):
- SMETCO machinery and Palamatic equipment
- Forklifts and yard trucks
- Compressors, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
- Hydraulic systems – repair and troubleshooting
- Pneumatic systems – repair and troubleshooting
- Electrical systems: 24 V DC, 120 V AC, 240 V AC, and 480 V AC 3‑phase wiring, troubleshooting, and repair
- PLC / IFM controls and 24 V wiring schematics reading
- Photo sensor logic installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- HVAC (heating and air conditioning)
- Lighting and facility infrastructure
- Production tools:
Sawzall, air nail guns, screw guns, electric motors – repair and troubleshooting
- Install, troubleshoot, and remove equipment as needed
- Welding – arc and/or MIG welding and metal fabrication
- Read and interpret PLC, 24 V wiring, and electrical schematics
- Maintain all logs related to machinery, equipment, forklifts, and required inspections
- Process preventive maintenance (PM) work orders accurately and on time using computer‑based maintenance systems
- Ensure that all forklift drivers are certified and that certifications remain current
- Ensure all forklift maintenance logs and machine logs are accurate and up to date
- Enforce compliance with all safety policies, environmental regulations, and company procedures
